What is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is just one of the many extremely beneficial chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles. Unlike its cousin, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is not psychoactive and will not get you high.
What is CBD oil?
Our CBD oil contains a mixture of full spectrum CBD extract, organic terpenes, and medium-chain triglycerides oil.
How is CBD oil made?
There are two methods of CBD extraction that are currently being used today, C02 extraction and ethanol extraction. Ethanol extraction is much more efficient than C02 extraction, and produces higher amounts of full spectrum cannabinoids. The only pitfall of ethanol extraction is that it creates high temperatures, which makes it possible for thermal degradation to take place. At Cannavessel Labs we eliminate this possibility by using a cold ethanol extraction process.
Is CBD oil legal?
Yes, it is legal in all 50 states and across Europe! US made hemp legal with 2018 farm bill allowing the sale of all hemp derived products legal, as long as THC is less than 0.3% in all consumer end use products.
Full Spectrum CBD vs CBD isolate
CBD is often used as an umbrella term to cover a wide variety of cannabinoids. Research shows that these cannabinoids work together to enhance the benefits of using CBD. This is known as the Entourage Effect.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are organic compounds that can be found in many plants including hemp. They are added to enhance flavor and they work synergistically with other cannabinoids to improve the health benefits of CBD oil. New research has shown that different terpenes have mood altering effects that can do everything from reducing anxiety to stimulating creativity.
Will it make me fail a drug test?
Since CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC, it could make you fail a drug test. It is our recommendation that you do not use our full spectrum CBD products if you are concerned about failing a drug test. Instead try our 0% THC product line.
Will I get high?
No, our CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC, which is not nearly enough to make you high.
How much should I take?
This is dependent upon your tolerance with CBD, typically between 10-20mg taken 1-2 times per day is enough for a person to gain the benefits from CBD. It is our recommendation that you start off with a low dose of 1-6mg and then gradually increase it. However, we recommend that you do not exceed 100mg of CBD in one day.For example, if you are using our 1000mg tincture and there is 30ml or 1 US fl oz, 1ml is equivalent to 33.3 mg of CBD. So only a few drops is equivalent to 3 to 6 mg of CBD.
How to properly store CBD oil?
CBD should be stored in a cool dry place out of sunlight. If exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time, the UV rays can denature the canabidiol and make the product less potent. With time our product can become less potent, and we can not guarantee its effects after one year from the time of purchase.
